SUPERFOOD: Almonds

Nuts, you can see it as a good snack or as candy… you have them in all tastes and sizes. But I personally never liked them, not necessarily the taste but how you chew it. But my colleague told me a while ago that almonds are very good as a afternoon snack and that you can call them superfood. But I didn’t do much with that information because I just didn’t like nuts and there are many superfoods I eat daily. But than I read on the instagram from a girl with amazingly long, big, shiny hair that she eat many almonds for her hair, and that changes things. Superfood + superhair! So I did my research  and run to the ‘nuts store’ to try the almonds.

They taste soooo different than normal nuts! Taste like vanilla or something?! And they are full of vitamins & minerals and good for the heart, brains and your digestion. If you make a routine from a daily handful of almonds (about 24 pieces) it can help to lower your “bad” cholesterol, reduce, the risk of heart disease and diabetes. There are many more reasons why they are healthy for you, but these must be enough to add almonds to your daily routine.

* You can eat them as a afternoon snack like I do, or you can mix them in a smoothie, biscuits or even cupcakes, you can make almond butter or almond milk. There are many things you can make with the delicious almonds. Let’s be creative!

This made me think a lot for some reason probably because you caught me in-between emotions.. Growing up I always was kinda outta the group and loop of a lot of the other kids just more different not cool enough or whatever it was I got shit from other kids because my style & what I liked to do, Girls never liked me because I was weird & different & because I wouldn’t do what everyone else would to fit in. It bugged me a lot sometimes as a kid I lowered my standards to a lot of different things in life and kind of accepted that maybe I’m just made differently and not as good as everyone else. skip forward a few years & now I’m 14-15 Around this time my mom got diagnosed with cancer and had a year to live.. it wasn’t for awhile till I realized what was going on.. when you are a kid everything blends together mix’s between dreamy things and little worries because these years you really are learning things in life new emotion come into play so often and you are so venerable to outside sources and honestly looking back everything from when I was 15 years and younger felt like a different life something that almost was so far away from me but every smell of something brought back vivid nostalgic memories. It only happened a few months before my mothers death where I started understand the feel behind peoples words I learned empathy and realized theres more in the world then just in my mind & what I believe and how I see things. I stopped going to school in 7th grade because people judged me because I was stressed out about school I would wake up at 6am get back at 4pm and learn nothing, literally. Everyone judged my for dropping out of school but for the last 5 years I haven’t had an alarm clock set haven’t had any stress of school work and I’ve been able to spend time in nature and travel and meet so so so so many amazing people. left and right people who change your understanding of life forever, things you wont learn in high school. most of all a big change combined with this and my mothers illness was sympathy and understanding and this sound bold but it played a huge part in any success in my life I kept quiet beneath everyone else I learned how everything ticked and tocked and worked together and how things reacted with each other it really was a science part of my life of learning things. I started to express emotion with other people like me.. I started to blend with others. I learned that no matter who you are you are flawed ether noticeably or within.. this made me so much more comfortable with who and what I was. Photos have always been a favorite of me because I have always lived such a creative life anything and everything iv’e touched i just naturally want to make mine in some way or at least leave a mark, I’m such a rowdy playful soul no matter what it is i’ve hurt people and have blessed people but both have benefited me in learned more about life.. a big step after was coming into conscious with my inner soul I stopped feeding myself anything harmful I started feeding my soul and not my pleasure side of my mind. I started making my self form a taste for healthy food I have always been averagely healthy but I really started eating weird foods that others wouldn’t touch things I know make my body and mind happy. In my view you are made of three things cut separately. You have your subconscious.. you have your body and mind.. and you have your soul. in order to stay in tune with life you must keep all 3 in a working order. all 3 are here to only make things good for you. Your body does not want anything bad to happened within or to you. Its all a chain reaction. you have to nourish your body and mind to be healthy you must be active you have to do things that make you feel pain so you can become stronger mentally and physically. Your sub conscious is your other half it catches everything you don’t it reads your surrounding its important to fill it with things you love and come to understand it and treat it well because it all comes back to you. It also has a huge play on the way you feel when you don’t pay attention and even more in your dreams when you sleep. The last is your soul is who and what you are its the emotions you feel and the things you love feed your soul by love and other people feed it with the things you love and that make time move by faster. once you get all three of these in working order you will be all around more happy and content. I’ve entered an entire new world literally because being able to control and learn my sub conscious iv’e got really into lucid dreaming.. & I look forward going to sleep every night because I get lost in this crazy world in my mind and its just magic and bliss its better then any drug on psychedelic you could do, I’ve spent time with my mother in my dreams I’ve seen and done things you can’t do in real life. I don’t know how to explain it but lucid dreaming is basically when you are aware you are dreaming and you can take advantage of it, your sub conscious is what makes your dreams landscapes and the things around you and so becoming internally content with it. I started making a name for myself through taking photo’s of my lifestyle & the things around me and it started to inspire people around me i’d get people writing to me about how i’ve made them re evaluate life or sooth there mind and soul. And still to this day I don’t understand how or what but doing something I love & making other people happy while I do it is a no brainer. Seriously Find what you love and do it as much as you can, forever. I’ve learned by exposing my self and not hiding my feelings and thoughts I went from feeling alone to being more loved then ever I have amazing friends all over this planet now. Girls use to never look at me now I can literally seduce and dig into a girls soul and eyes. I’ve gone to places now I thought I never would have in life. I’ve gotten opportunities I never would have before.. People give me more respect for doing something with my life now. Life is a trip and I’m only 18 I got alot ahead of me and I can’t wait for it all to unfold… These are some of the biggest changes in my life sorry If that was long but I’d rather share a little bit of what I learned. I could go on for days, but both of us would be exhausted.

Feeling hot in the cold

If you think about the winter you imagine the snow, hot chocolate, warm jackets, beanies, boots, Santa, fur, dinners. It is all so cozy and magical. But how does your body think about that? For example if you take a walk: If your hair get’s wet you have to be careful that it doesn’t freeze and break, your skin feels like it is going to split and it is a miracle if your fingers didn’t fall off. And thats why I have a few tips for you that I always use during the winter time.

How can you be winter-proof?

Cream/body lotion. It is very annoying if your skin dries out, it is ugly, it is getting itchy and if it is dry for to long it is gonna hurt. The best thing is that you put it on before you go to bed, than it has time enough to do his work.

– Hair mask. This is always good, in the winter and summer. But specially now, you hair need this little extra care. I always do two times a week a mask in my hair. And sometimes when my hair really needs a extra boost, I sleep with it so it can do his work the whole night. 

– Don’t shave your legs much. Maybe this sound a bit weird for some people haha, but I try to shave my legs as little as possible. My legs get’s dryer and it is unnecessary. 

– Face mask. Again the mask, there are a lot of vitamin in a good face mask that you skin needs. Your face has a hard time with the cold because it isn’t covered. I always try to do this once a week. 

– Sugar scrub. It is nice to have a scrub it makes your skin feel nice and soft. But your skin is extra dry now so if you want to scrub you can better use a sugar scrub. It has the same effect as a other scrub but it has these oils in it so your body is oiled instead of dried out.

– Hand cream. This is so nice, i don’t leave the house without my hand cream. It keep your hands feel soft and it doesn’t hurt when it is too cold.

– Cover your body. Keep your body warm. A beanie, gloves, scarf, double socks, layers, it is fashionable too!

– Drink enough water. Keep your body hydrated always! I can imagine that cold water isn’t what you really want now, so you can also drink tea (green tea, tinytea, hertea). You can also just cook the water and drink it like tea without tea. I don’t know if a lot people like that but I do, maybe with a piece of lemon. 

– Vitamin. Make sure that you get enough vitamins daily.

– Eat enough. If you don’t know what to do with some things just look at the nature. What do animals now? They eat a lot so they can survive the winter. Don’t start eating until you get sick, don’t eat more than you need. But absolutely not less. Eat healthy & enough food.

These were the things that I use for surviving the winter. Most of them is for the dry skin but that is very important in the winter and also very annoying. be careful with your body, you need it for the rest of your life! I hope these little tips help you too. If you have more tips let me know! I am very curious.

That is not who I am..

The last two days I was busy with finding inspiration for my photo shoot tomorrow. (This photo shoot is only for my blog.) But I still haven’t find anything helpful.. So i started thinking: “why do I see so many beautiful photo’s all over the internet from other bloggers, magazines, brands but not one of the photo’s I want to use as a inspiration for my photo’s?”

I came to this conclusion.. “It is not who I am..”

The models are so beautiful but they look so serious, I am far away from serious.. I always laugh (on pictures), I can’t help it. People who know me always say “you are such a happy person, always happy”. And yes I am, I can laugh about nothing and that is who I am. So i choose to not use inspiration from some one else, just go with the flow and be 100% ME.

Be honest, why does everyone like the Victoria’s Secret show so much? Of course because of the models, they are so beautiful and the whole show is amazing. But look at those girls, walking / dancing / enjoying the show, they are confident. And I’m sure that’s what make this show so special. You can see that they having fun, they enjoy every step on the catwalk.

You can not change into some one that your not.. And you shouldn’t want to.
I can make beautiful serious pictures tomorrow but why? -A: I don’t feel comfortable with it and -B: I see someone else on it and I want to show the beauty of the real you. I do understand that a lot of people feel insecure about who they are and thinking: Do people like me? Am I good enough? Do they think I am fat? blabla.. I’m sure everybody has that sometimes.. But you can choose to let it come close to you and feel horrible about it, or you just let it go and listen to yourself. You can not change your personality for somebody else, if you do that it will make you unhappy, uncomfortable, insecure and that is nothing like you! It is what you let others do to you and change you.

You can make your good things better though. If you are funny or loyal to your friends or anything you really like about yourself, show that! And focus on that! Accept who you are and be happy with the things you DO have. That will make you so much more happier, just be you! And other people will see the beauty in you too, they will like you for who YOU are, and not for who you trying to be.

I was struggling with this issue for a very long time, I didn’t know who i was.. Me and my friends were always laughing, but if some one else was complaining about it I stopped and try to be serious. I felt really bad and thought that they didn’t like me. But the next day they didn’t even remember and i felt bad? Bit strange right? But hey! Why do I worry about it? They could also come to us and laugh too, but now I know that they felt bad. They hated school and I think it is being jealous in a kind of way that we had fun with everything we did. So changing who you are isn’t always good, you don’t need to change for somebody else, you can not make everybody happy and how good you are there are ALWAYS people who talk negative about you. But don’t let that come close to you and let that changing who you are.

I hope this will help you, it will be such a relief. Stop thinking for others, be real with yourself. You are the one who has to live with it for the rest of your life and there are many people who like you for who you are.
