Do you have a busy life and not much time for going to the gym every time? No worries, here you see a few “home workouts” that you can do easily in your room. When I come back from work I am tired and I don’t have much energy for hours of training, so I wake up a half an hour before I use to do (normally at 6:00 and now 5:30) for a few morning workouts. In the beginning it is hard, because your bed is so warm and your tired, but after a while you get used to it and it give you so much more energy during the day. It also motivates you to train more and more when you see results that you worked very hard for.

TIP: Feel your stomach the next time you do cardio. If it is cold, that means you’ve worked hard enough for your body to start burning fat. It is a great way to motivate yourself.

I wake up the same time everyday, even if I have a rest day. You get a daily routine and you body get use to waking up early. Before I do the workouts, I drink a big glass of (half warm) water with lemon. ‘*Start the day with half warm water is good for your belly and your digestion.’ When I do the workouts I also drink one glass of normal water, because you slept all night and didn’t drink. It is good to purify your body with water. It is also very important to do workouts that you like to do, if you don’t like them then it is hard to keep going and the probability is high that you stop. If you get stronger and the workouts going easier, you can add more workouts that you didn’t like before to your list.

HOW TO DO;

* Write down all the workouts that you like to do, as many as you like. Choose from your own list 5 workouts.

For example:
*20 jumping jacks
*20 squats
*20 plank
*20 crunches
*20 high knees

And repeat them 3 times. You can have a short break, or drink a bit water if you need. It is also very important to breathe properly.
If you just started or this is to hard you can also choose to do set from 15 or 10. It is easier to do the sets 3 times instead of doing 60 at a time, because now you have rest and you train other parts of your body in between.

SHOCKING:

Now I understand “the grown-ups” mostly the mothers who complain about their weight and be to busy for taking care of their body. Doesn’t make time for workouts and only eat the quick meals.

A while ago I didn’t understand that, how can you not have time? “MAKE TIME, you want to lose weight? Go to the gym, even if it is for a half an hour, isn’t so hard is it? Lying on the couch or have a workout that makes you feel better when your done.” But now when I experience the “adult life” I completely understand!!

I am so tired after a whole day at work, I try to go to the gym and workout but it is not like I did before. After 3 months now, I gain 5 kg!! OH MY GODNESS!! I know ey, it is shocking! But what did I expect? Trained not so much as I did before (even skipped sometimes) and all day I sit on a computer and eat. Not candy, cookies and chocolate but without my daily movement and without training you obviously see much difference. So to now I had to search for another way… something had to change.

– Instead of going home with the car, I went back on my skates (15 km). I do this once a week. It is hard, specially if your not used to skate. So I recommend to train a bit before you skate 15 km in a day.
– At work I only eat fruit and vegetables (no other “healthy”cookies or snacks just the fruit and vegetables), I try to make good meals with it so I am not getting hungry and small pieces for a snack.
– I found out that I eat more when I sit all day, think everybody does that. Anyway, I try to change the food for water and tea. Luckily I love tea, so it isn’t hard for me to drink it, and everytime when i get a ‘hungry in cookie’ feeling I drink a glass or water or tea.
– It sound silly but when I am alone in the office or when I go to the toilet I do a few squats. I don’t know if this will help a lot but it give me more motivation because I have the feeling that I do a good job! HAHA! I do 10 till 20 squats because I don’t want to sweat and that like 5 times a day?
– No extra salt, I use to put salt on everything, I knew it wasn’t good but I couldn’t eat it without. But I was so shocked from the 5kg that i thought: Ok I drink a lot now and I can eat salty food cause I only enjoy it the 5 minutes that I eat it. So those 5 minutes non-salty eating isn’t the worst thing. I just need to learn to eat without salt.

Most of us girls want to be skinny, thin, good looking obvious… but do you know why you want that?

Why do you actually want to look like these girls? Because you think it makes you happier? Or because everybody want that? What is YOUR reason? Ask yourself this question BEFORE your workout to make it a lot easier for yourself.

Doing workouts, running training only for losing weight isn’t the easy / healthy way… You can eat ‘healthy’ and train then your body feels healhy, but are you healthy in your mind?? No, because you hate to do it! You eat green stuff when you think that you want chocolate… That doesn’t sound very right, is it?

That is why it is good to ask yourself these questions, I ask myself these questions every time after a “break”. I have to admit that when I started with living “the healthy lifestyle” I just wanted to look good, losing weight and nothing else. I even thought that if I lost weight fast that I could move on with my life and being happy with myself because my weight was the same for years so if I just lost a bit it was gone and that’s it. But no, that never worked out… It is impossible to do that and be happy.

Now I don’t even think about the weight anymore, I simply don’t care how heavy I am but I care about how i feel. It feels so good when you eat food that your body really need.. and to be fit, how good is the feeling when you have to walk a stairs without being tired? That is why you should do this, not for your looks but for how you feel. It does feel good in many ways and if you feel good and be good for your body the weight comes so easily. Your body will reward you, believe me…
